Mudragada Padmanabham Hospitalized, Condition said to be Stable

Kapu leaderĀ Mudragada Padmanabham who started his indefinite hunger strike on Thursday refused to take treatment at the government hospital in Rajahmundry.

Padmanabham refused to take any treatment, though he was admitted to the hospital in the evening. However, the doctors admitted that his health condition is stable and all vital organs are functioning normally.

He threatens to commit suicide by consuming pesticide. But he was soon lifted and taken to the hospital.

Hospital superintendent Dr Ramesh Kishore said, "We are giving general treatment. All vital parameters in the body are normal. He is kept under observation."

A large number of police personnel were deployed at the government hospital to avoid any untoward incidents. Barricades and iron fencing were set up to avoid any agitators to barge into the hospital.

The police imposed restrictions and only patients and their attendants were allowed inside.

Meanwhile, CID authorities will arrest Padmanabham once his condition is stable. He will be then produced before CID court at Kakinada as he was involved in Ratnachal express burning cases as the prime accused.
