Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham indefinite fast has entered 8th day. He was hospitalized in Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital few days back. His health condition has worsen on Thursday.
Neither any Joint Action Committee leader nor government emissary had discussions with the fasting leader on Thursday.
When contacted, BJP MLA Akula Satyanarayana, who played a key role till Wednesday, said he had tried his best to bring both the parties to the discussion table.
He said “But now the scene is changing and Padmanabham’s health condition is deteriorating.”
Doctors treating him said he was co-operating with them. They said his health parameters were being checked every two hours and treatment was being provided accordingly. His sister and two of his relatives were staying with him.
Speaking to reporters, Medical Superintendent, RGH, Dr. Ramesh Kishore said “Mr. Padmanabham gave permission to the hospital to take only urine samples. Two litres of saline had been administered to him on Wednesday. Dr. Kishore added that administering saline was not enough and made it clear that the leader could continue to fast only for two more days. Doctors were apprising the Health Minister and the Health Secretary of Mr. Padmanabham’s health regularly.”
