Doctors of Rajahmahendravaram government hospital confirmed that Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife Padmavathi was stable. Mudragada Padmanabham has been on indefinite hunger strike for the last 11 days.
A petition was filed for the bail of 13 accused in Tuni violence, Additional District Judge Court accepted the bail petition and 10 out of his 13 followers were given conditional bail on Saturday.After which Padmanabham’s son Giri and daughter-in-law Siri gave up their fast on Saturday night.
However, Padmanabham continued the fast till all the accused in the case were freed unconditionally. The doctors added that fluids were being given to him and his wife.
Heath bulletins were also being sent to the government every two hours. Accusing the government of adopting a nonchalant attitude, Kapu leaders staged agitations in different parts of the district on Sunday.
Relay fast was conducted by local leaders in all important towns. Speaking to the media , former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar alleged that the government was treating Padmanabham like a prisoner and no one was allowed to visit him in the hospital.
