Liquour Mafia Scam to be exposed : Naidu

Leader of opposition Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu demanded the Govt. to present the report of Liquour syndicate in the Assembly. He said that this scam is taking different turns everyday. He said that there is a need to expose liquour mafia scam worth Rs. 15,000 crore. It involves 140 public representations, 20 ministers, 15,000 excise staff and 2,000 police officials. A sum of Rs. 15,000 was collected as bribe. He informed the Assembly that the leaders and officials involved in liquour scam were sent to jail but the people’s representatives are sitting in the Assembly. He told the C.M. to come forward to expose the names of public representatives.

He showed the clippings of the advertisements published in the newspapers and alleged that N. Ramana who is the Kingpin of liquour mafia in Khammam is shown in the advertisement with Ram Reddy Venkata Reddy Minister. He also alleged that the minister has links with mafia and anti-social elements. He also blamed that 7th page of the report of Anti-Corruption Bureau was missing while submitting it in the court. He told that records are being tampered. He invited to have fruitful discussion in the Assembly on Liquour mafia. He further told that C.M. is afraid of losing power if the report is exposed. Mr. R. Venakata Reddy clarified that he has no contacts with N. Ramana. He also said that page 7 of the report is not missing and govt. will take action against the persons involved in liquour scam.
