Hyderabad DRDO Develops Body Suit For Coronavirus:- India's research and development organization DRDO developed a body suit to protect the doctors, health workers from the deadly coronavirus. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) said that the body suit that was developed earlier was converted into coronavirus suit. The suit was earlier developed for medical staff to fight against the radiological emergencies. DRDO said the suit is washable and it passed all the international standards of ASTM. DRDO also conducted various tests along with other agencies.

DRDO said that each suit costs them Rs 7000. Frontier Protective Wear Pvt Ltd, Kolkata and Medikit Pvt Ltd, Mumbai are producing around ten thousand suits per day in this crisis. They are ready to be deployed soon. Along with body suits, DRDO also developed critical care ventilators. The Defence Bio-Engineering & Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bengaluru, a DRDO lab identified a vendor to produce these ventilators. As per the update, 5000 ventilators will be produced now and the production will be increased to 10,000 soon as per the demand.
