Scientists Discover Antibody that can Neutralize all Variants of Covid-19:- The Covid-19 scare is yet to disappear and it has left a traendy in the lives of crores of families across the world. The vaccinations are discovered and they are able to decrease the life threat. But the spread of coronavirus could not be prevented completely. The new variants are coming and coming across the world. The scientists who are conducting a long research have discovered an antibody that can neutralize all the variants of Covid-19. It is named as SP1-77 as per the reports from the Prevention website. The researchers of the Boston Children’s Hospital and Duke University worked together and they discovered the antibody. The findings were published in the journal Science Immunology.

Tomas Kirchhausen, PhD and the co-author of the study told "SP1-77 binds the spike protein at a site that so far has not been mutated in any variant, and it neutralizes these variants by a novel mechanism". The researchers have modified a mouse model to search for neutralizing the antibodies to HIV. A mouse has a built-in human immune system that develops better antibodies when they are exposed to a pathogen. They work in a different manner than the antibodies that are used to make vaccines. The study was done on mice. The researchers say that the study is in early stages and if they are positive, it would form the new monoclonal antibody products along with a vaccine in the future.
