Experts Hints of a New Covid-19 Wave this Diwali:- It has been more than two and a half years ago since the coronavirus pandemic started. There are several variants emerging and crores of people lost their lives. The Omicron variant has changed the course of the coronavirus pandemic. There are lot of side effects and lakhs of people are suffering with them. The new variants of Omicron named BA.5.1.7 and BF.7 are the new strains of the coronavirus. The new variants are of high transmissibility and the experts expressed their concern over the new wave during Diwali in the country. BF.7 is the new sub-variant of Omicron which was first detected in the northwestern part of China's Inner Mongolia region. The variant is also known as Omicron spawn which is fast spreading and has infiltrated the walls of many countries including the UK, USA, Belgium and Australia.
The first case of BF.7 has been detected by the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre. The health experts of the country say that the people have to be extra cautious because of the new variants as they are the reason for the recent surge in the new cases in China. Dr N.K. Arora, chairman, the National Technical Advisory Group of Immunization (NTAGI) said that the next three weeks are quite crucial. "The new variant is reported in many parts of the world. It is mandatory to take all the precautions and as there are festival days ahead, everyone has to be cautious" told Arora. The symptoms of the new variant of coronavirus are same as the symptoms for before. Fever, sore throat, fatigue, congestion and cough are the common symptoms. The season of Diwali, Dhanteras, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj are coming and there is a five-day weekend ahead. Experts say that there is a chance of the surge of the cases in the country.
