76 killed, several injured in Syria bomb blast

76 killed and several injured in a car bomb attack in the central Syrian city of Homs and capital Damascus, the reports said.

Saying that, most of those killed appeared to be civilians, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights added that, the death toll may further rise, as the people are injured severely.
The bombings have caused extensive damage in the surrounding shops, ripping their fronts off and even damaged mangling cars and mini buses.

Bombing attacks are not new to Syria. In the recent times, there was a devastating attack at a school in October 2014 that killed 48 children and four adults. Last month, in Al-Zahraa, at least 22 people were killed in a suicide bombing.

As per the report, due to the suspensions by the Twitter, the ISIS has dwindled and have resulted in a drastic fall of the followers for recruitment purposes or disseminating information.

The report titled ‘The Islamic State’s Diminishing Returns on Twitter’ by the Programme on Extremism at the George Washington University’s Centre for Cyber and Homeland Security.

On the other side, Moscow assured to provide support to Syrian government in its fight against terrorism, dashing hopes for a ceasefire the opposition said it would only back if the regime and its supporters hold fire.

To pave the way for renewed negotiations aimed at ending Syria’s war nearly 5 years after it began, World powers have been pushing for a so-called cessation of hostilities.
