Serial Blasts in Sri Lanka Kill Over 200 on Easter Sunday:- Island country Sri Lanka is left shattered with a series of bomb attacks and over 200 people lost their lives in this deadly attack. Over 800 people were injured and they are rushed to local hospitals. Three churches along with star hotels in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo have been targeted. The incident took place at 8.45 AM local time and the whole world was left in deep shock with the series of bomb attacks. Over 35 foreigners including three Indians lost their lives. Security has been tightened and 144 section has been imposed all over until further notice.

There are talks that the Foreign Intelligence informed about the attacks ten days ago but the Sri Lankan Government did not respond. The internet services have been stopped temporarily after Easter attacks. Arrests are made but the government is yet to identify who carried the attacks. Three churches in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo's Kochchikade district were targeted.  Shangri-La, Kingsbury and Cinnamon Grand hotels in Colombo witnessed massive bomb attacks. The Sri Lankan police arrested 13 people in relation with the case and the investigation is currently on. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe addressed the media and clarified that they had no prior information from Intelligence agencies about the attacks.

After the civil war in 2009, this is known to be the deadliest attack in Sri Lanka in the recent years.
