TDP thrilled with BJP defeat, expects support to AP

It seems, along with Nitish Kumar, even TDP is enjoying the defeat of BJP government, in Bihar elections.

TDP government is finding tough to convince the Centre in various issues in the recent times. In fact, BJP leaders are criticizing the TDP leaders upon corruption and several issues. But after the defeat in Bihar elections, now TDP is expecting the better treatment to AP and even it got the right opportunity to attack the Centre.

After declaration of the results, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu greeted Nitish Kumar upon his winning.

According to the close sources of Naidu, the TDP officials said, “Bihar results should be the eye opener for the Centre, for its wrong functioning. It even least bothered about the promises made to AP, like granting  special status, special package etc. It would be better, if the Centre at least concern about it.”

The political analysts said that, as BJP had experienced a great defeat in Bihar elections, it would now stop criticizing TDP government and tries to stay united with TDP, to face the next elections. However, for this, it has to keep up the promises it made during the time of the elections.

A few of the TDP leaders, even expect some changes in the Central Cabinet. Taking a step further, TDP key leader, and special representative of the AP government in Delhi, said, “Mr Nitish Kumar’s image as pro-poor and pro- development was duly recognized by the people of Bihar for a third consecutive time. It is time for the BJP leadership to introspect as what went wrong in the polls and take corrective measures. As far as AP is concerned, the Centre should now take steps and grant special status and special package to ensure  our speedy growth.”

If this continues, the criticism against Modi government at the Centre, is expected to increase in the coming days. It should be seen, at least the Centre comes down now and supports Andhra Pradesh and get back its identity.
