Yesterday, Senior advocate Ram Jethmalani said that, he wants Modi defeat in Bihar assembly elections, as he cheated the people. He even said that he became the victim of fraud, supporting Modi.
He openly said that, he votes Nitish Kumar in Bihar Assembly election, wishing Modi to lose the elections.
There is some sort of disturbance between Ram Jethmalani and Modi for quite some time and in fact, in 2013, Jetmalani opposed Modi’s candidature for the party post.
Along with Modi, Jetmalani even opposed BJP President Amit Shah, for their failure in bringing back the illegal money, as promised during the election campaigns.
“Jethmalani said that, the government did not bring even a dollar to the country. If at all, had it brought as promised in the elections, it would not have faced financial problem in clearing the demands of ex-servicemen on OROP. Finally, even I became a victim of fraud supporting Modi,” Jethamalani added.
Arrest Jaitley and Chidambaram to bring back the black money- Ram Jethmalani
“If at all the government really wants to bring back the black money, it should first arrest Arun Jaitley and P Chidambaram as they disclosed the names of foreign tax havens. Jaitley took the recourse under the garb of Double Avoidance Tax Treaty (DATT),” Jethmalani said.
Stating that his "diminishing respect" for PM Modi has "ended", in June, Ram Jethmalani had announced his breakup with Narendra Modi.
The expelled BJP MP, who had strongly supported Modi's prime ministerial bid, had been opposed to the appointment of KV Chowdary, the former CBDT chairman as Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) and said he will now fight with the government in the Supreme Court, after his appointment was cleared by the President. Due to the negligence of Central Information Commission, over 40000 cases are pending.
Stating about the break up with Modi, Jetmalani wrote a letter to Modi which read: “Now we shall fight out in the Supreme Court and the court of the people of India. My diminishing respect for you ends today.
Not stopping there, Jetmalani even posted the communication on his social networking account, naming it as "My break-up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi". The issue is currently trending on the social networking sites and few criticisms and few applauds are being heard on Jethmalani from the netizens.
