NDA retains the power in Bihar: Modi magic works:- The Assembly polls of Bihar are conducted in three phases following all the social distancing guidelines during this coronavirus pandemic season. NDA registered a clear majority and it is all set to retain the power and form the government in the state. BJP kept up a winning performance and its alliance with Janata Dal United (JDU) brought a strong majority. Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) emerged as the single largest party in the polls with 76 seats but they are short of the magic figure to form the government in the state. NDA is now leading the list with 123 seats which is one more than the magical number out of the 243 constituencies in Bihar.

BJP bagged 72 seats and its ally JDU got 43 seats. JDU is down as it got 71 seats in 2015. Congress just got 19 seats in Bihar and is way behind when compared to the other regional parties of the state. RJD contested in 144 seats and the Congress contested in 70 seats and the left parties stood in 29 constituencies. For the NDA alliance, BJP contested in 110 seats and JDU contested in 115 seats. AIMIM won 5 seats in the Bihar polls. Most of the exit polls predicted that the Mahagathbandhan will have a clear lead over NDA but it is a clear Narendra Modi's wave in Bihar that made NDA retain its power in the Assembly polls of Bihar. BJP won the by-elections in 11 states in the recent polls for which the results are announced yesterday.

The party won the Dubbaka Assembly seat in Telangana which is a clear indication that BJP is gaining power in the state. BJP won 40 seats out of the 56 seats in various byelections conducted across the country.
