According to the reports, around 140 pilgrims belonging to the Anantapur district of the Andhra Pradesh state and also a few from Karnataka state, are experiencing the critical situation in Uttarakhand floods and are also starving for the food.
Floods have again started roaring in the country. This time, it is Uttharakhand to face the agony. If the reports are to be believed, on June 18th, the pilgrims left for Badrinath from Hindupur by train.
The pilgrims belongs t0 various cities in the Ananthapur districts like Anantapur, Beluguppa, Kadiri, Madakasira and Tanakallu. The pilgrims from Karnataka belonged to the various places in the state like Pavaguda, Bellary and YNS Kota. All of them reached to Delhi on June 21st.
Later, the pilgrims started to Badrinath in private travels buses. Due to the heavy rains from the past few days, the roads were disconnected and thus created a problem to the pilgrims continuously for four days.
Even though after getting accommodated in a private choultry, the condition of two elder passengers is very critical, as there is no availability of food.
When the issue was leaked to the Andhra Pradesh government on Friday night, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alerted the AP Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to ensure that the pilgrims stuck in Uttarakhand due to the flash floods reached home safely.
