KTR Sanctions Rs 10 Cr For Stormwater Drain Project In Warangal:- Telangana Municipal Administration and IT Minister KTR paid his visit to the Warangal to perform an aerial survey of the situation of the floods in the district. Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajendar along with the officials too were present. He visited various flooded regions and assured support from the government. He conducted a review meeting with the officials soon after he conducted an aerial survey. KTR landed in the Arts and Science College grounds in Warangal and he visited the Nayeem Nagar stormwater drain which happens to be the major drain in the Warangal city.

He also inspected Sammaiah Nagar which was badly impacted due to the floods. KTR sanctioned a fund of Rs 10 crores for the construction work of the drains in the city. KTR directed the officials to supply all the essentials to the families that are impacted due to the floods. He asked the people to co-operate with the district administration to get rid of the illegal encroachments that are erected over the drains. Telangana Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Satyavathi Rathod are present along with KTR during his Warangal visit. Earlier to this, Telangana Chief Minister KCR held a review meeting with the officials through a video conference yesterday. He wanted the ministers to personally visit and resolve the issues at the earliest.
Seven people passed away due to several flood incidents in Telangana due to heavy downpour in the state.
