KTR hits out at Centre for Ignoring Interim Relief for Telangana:- Telangana suffered massive floods and the loss has been huge. Telangana government and Chief Minister KCR announced an immediate relief fund of Rs 550 crores and handed over the cheques to the people. Hundreds of colonies submerged because of the heavy downpour in the state. Telangana government requested the Centre to provide an immediate relief of Rs 1350 crores to help the state in this tough time. The Centre failed to respond and provide the relief. Telangana IT and Municipal Administration Minister KTR took a dig directly on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre for ignoring Telangana. He said that the government granted interim relief to Gujarat by providing Rs 500 crores and helped Karnataka with an additional relief fund of Rs 670 crores.

KTR said that it has been three weeks since KCR requested the Centre but there is no response. TRS leader and Chevella MP Dr G Ranjith Reddy responded and slammed Modi for not responding to the state's request. He reminded that Modi responded for Karnataka and granted Rs 669 crores but for Telangana it was nothing. Telangana Chief Minister wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the relief fund and it has been 25 days but there was no response, told Ranjith Reddy. He questioned if Telangana is not a part of the country. KTR during his Sunday address said that BJP has not granted a penny for Hyderabad and Telangana till date. KTR said that he would request the Chief Minister KCR to grant Rs 100 crores more for the relief activities and to help out the people who got affected.
