Police arrested Mr Balineni Srinivasa reddy, congress MLA owing allegiance to the YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan reddy for obstructing and creating trouble at the Rachchabanda programme in Ongole town this morning.

The Rachchabanda programme saw the presence of both MP Mr. Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and MLA Srinivasa reddy. The supporters of both leaders attended in good number.

As the programme began, Srinivasa reddy objected to the non-inclusion of the photo of the late chief minister YSR in the programme banners and hoardings and created a ruckus over the issue.

He demonstrated along with his supporters and questioned the officials for conducting the programme without the photo of YSR. Immediately, the supporters of the MP Mr Srinivasulu Reddy also got up and objected to the demand resulting in tensions.

Police arrested Srinivasa reddy to avoid a clash between the two groups. The officials conducted the programme later. (JUBS)
