Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy today formally launched the second phase of the well publicized Rachchabanda programme at Jaggampet in East Godavari district amid much fanfare.
The chief minister laid foundation stones for several welfare schemes worth Rs.22 Cr including the protected drinking water scheme in the Mandal.
Inaugurating the programme, Kirankumar said that the government had distributed 6 lakh ration cards and 3 lakh houses in the state during the first phase of the programme. Kiran said that 50 lakh families would be benefited through the second phase of the programme.
Additionally, 37,000 families would be given ration cards and 38,000 houses would be constructed in the present round of the Rachchabanda, he said adding that the ration card holders would be able to draw ration from any shop in any district in the state irrespective of their residence.
Kirankumar disclosed that people who visit Government offices can lodge their complaints to a toll free number if the staff demands bribes for their works.
