TDP senior leader and MLA Errabilii Dayakara rao today demanded the chief minister Kirankumar reddy to cancel his Rachchabanda programme in Telangana districts immediately.
Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Dayakara rao said the government has been provoking the Telangana people in the name of Rachchabanda and police have been resorting to repression, cane charging and unnecessary arrests of Telangana people for the reported disruption of the programme. “It is better the programme is cancelled immediately,” he said.
The government should first keep its promises made at ‘Prajapadham’ campaign and then only it should conduct the Rachchabanda extravaganza, he said.
Demanding the congress party to keep its promise on formation of Telangana state, Dayakara rao asked the centre to declare Telangana without depending on the report of the Justice Sri Krishna Committee. Dayakara rao also attacked the TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara rao saying that he was keeping mum now for reasons best known to him after causing a hullaballoo in the initial stages of the agitation.
