KiranKumarChief Minister Kirankumar reddy today asked the teachers and government employees to call off their strike immediately.

Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat, Kirankumar reddy said that 70 lakh students across Telangana are suffering because of the strike and are in anxious moments about their academic future.

“I appeal to you not to play with the lives of students and job aspirants who are appearing for competitive examinations,” he said, adding that the government has ordered strict action against those who are obstructing opening of schools and colleges.

He said the police have been instructed to deal sternly with those who are attacking buses and burning them. Speaking about the power situation, he said the government has been purchasing additional electricity but then the supply has been still falling short of the demands.

Kirankumar said that the government will advertise to fill 1.16 lakh posts before this Dec and the finance ministry has already sanctioned the creation of 30,000 posts.

The Chief Minister said that there was a record production of 60,000 tons of coal in Singareni Collieries and the production quantity would go up gradually. “But some people are trying to sabotage the production and we will deal with them sternly,” he warned.
