Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy returned to Hyderabad today from Tirumala where he attended the inaugural festivities of the much awaited annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Balaji.
Kirankumar reddy, accompanied by his wife, had offered Pattuvastrams to the Lord on the occasion on behalf of the state government. He personally carried the Vastrams on his head and handed them over to the chief priest of the temple.
The opening ceremonies of the Brahmotsavams were witnessed by thousands of devotees sitting in specially arranged pandals by the TTD administration.
RTC and Railway authorities ran special services to Tirupati from several places in AP and other states to carry thousands of devotees to the pilgrim centre. The police had made unprecedented security arrangements as a precautionary measure.
