Hinting at the emergence of mega star Mr Chiranjeevi as a force to reckon with in the state congress, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy said that he would change the history of the congress party in AP by strictly implementing the welfare schemes and taking up more developmental projects.
Addressing a huge gathering of congress workers at the ‘Uttarandhra Congress Garjana’ at the Ramakrishna beach in Visakhapatnam last evening, Kirankumar said that steps would be taken to ensure that welfare schemes reach the targeted people at the grass root level.
The public meeting was the first in a series of four mammoth meetings planned by the congress party after the merger of the PRP with it. The meeting was also attended by the PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana and congress leader Chiranjeevi.
“Chiranjeevi will play a crucial role in ensuring the victory of the congress in the next elections,” said the CM.
Chiru challengers Jagan
Speaking on the occasion, mega star Chiranjeevi challenged the YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy to conduct Odarpu Yatra in areas affected by the allotment of SEZs during the YSR regime.
“If you have any guts and wits, I challenge you to conduct your Yatras in the areas where the victims of the SEZs are residing,” Chiru dared Jagan.
