In a major embarrassment to the ruling congress in the state, Minister Dharmana Prasada rao’s brother and congress MLA Mr. Krishna Das described the YSR Congress party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy as a ‘leader of people’ and said he would quit the assembly for the sake of his leader.

“I am ready to quit assembly if my leader wants,” Das told reporters on Monday at YSR Pranganam in Guntur where Jagan sat on a 48-hour hunger strike for the sake of farmers.

The statement from the congress MLA comes on the day when the AICC in-charge for the state and Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad arrived in Hyderabad on ‘save congress’ mission.

Das said he had already decided to walk along with Jagan and has no qualms about quitting his assembly seat for the sake of Jagan. “The state government had completely failed to protect the rights of farmers,” he said.

Das said he would join the Jagan party the moment Jagan gives him the green signal. “My brother and my self have different paths and my path is that of Jagan,” he said without any hesitation.
