US Vice-President Joe Biden along with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have conducted talks in the Indian capital as part of a renewed effort to strengthen ties between the two countries. Furthermore, the meeting on Tuesday came just weeks after US Secretary of State John Kerry came to India to initiate a strategic dialogue between the nations. The pair of high-profile meetings signal increasing efforts to upgrade bilateral relations as the United States lays out its plans to restore balance of its foreign policy towards the Asia-Pacific. Mr Biden's trip will also lay the groundwork for a summit meeting between Dr Singh and President Barack Obama in Washington in September. The two discussed ways to intent encouragement of trade at the same time simplify bottlenecks obstructing American companies from investing in the Indian market.
