A man who is believed to have a personality disorder entered and elementary school in Connecticut and started spraying bullets after which he claimed 26 lives of which 20 were children below the age of 10. A few other lucky ones had hid themselves in the closets and behind corners as they could only imagine the terror that has wreaked havoc in the school. The gunman immediately after the massacre shot himself and committed suicide.
The police learned that the man was having two handguns. Why he started the firing still remains a mystery. It was also known that his mother also worked at the school as a teacher.
Police who were briefed upon the case were not authorized to discuss the plans overtly.
This tragedy comes only a few days before he holiday season and is already the second most deadliest shooting at a school killing 26. Virginia Tech Masscre in 2007 is recorded to be the worst killing 33 people.
Parents of the kids were in a frenzied state, unable to maintain any composure given their doubts about their loved ones. They all rushed to Sandy Hook Elementary School at ones. The kids were asked to close their eyes and walk with hands on each other’s shoulders as they were evacuated through the parking lot.
