The son-in-law of the leader of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra had created an outrage in the nation attracting the red eye of India against Corruption leader Arvind Kejriwal after he posted a controversial and disdainful message on his Facebook account slandering the anti-corruption activism in the nation.

His status read “ Mango people in banana republic”, making contemptuous remarks against our nation which is unstable economically.

The remarks come only a couple of days after he was brought into light by the India Against Corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal who also formed his own party, yet to be named, a week ago. Arvind Kejriwal said that Vadra had been largely involved in real estate corruption.

Lawyer Prashant Bhushan and activist Arvind Kejriwal on Friday alleged that DLF had granted an interest free loan from DLF and he also purchased real estate property at dirt cheap prices. Vadra and DLF both have denied the allegations and Kejriwal has to make his move to prove the alleged quid pro quo.

On Monday, soon after Vadra posted his Facebook status, IAC member Kumar Vishwas demanded an apology from him.

"Vadra's mother-in-law has been ruling the country so he should explain why India is being called a "banana republic," Vishwas said.
