An alleged stalker had reportedly turned violent after he proceeded to stab a 16 year old and her mother with a knife on Thursday evening.

Both the victims were immediately rushed to Chandigarh Hospital. Doctors mentioned that they were out of danger and stable now.

Maninder Singh had followed the girl on several occasions for the last few days. He had commented on her Facebook profile. On the evening of Thursday, he had followed her home but was stopped in tracks by the girl's grandfather Inder Singh. He had later come back with two of his friends and stabbed the mother. A little earlier he had stalked the girl at the tuition class along with the boys.

The grandfather said that they had registered a complaint earlier with the police but he returned evening and stabbed the mother and the 16 year old.

All the three perpetrators were arrested.
