BJP slams state government for lack of control over Mumbai Violence

The violence in Mumbai had reached a different high in the Azad Maidan in the city which resulted in the arrests of 23 people who were all booked with murder charges. The nature of the clashes is still being probed but the BJP had made no delay in blaming the state government for being incapable of controlling a riot.

There are also speculations that the violence was premeditated after the interrogations. Three weapons and ammunition that belonged to the police are still missing. The organizers of the protests were also arrested. A special team was organized to investigate the case. CCTV footage revealed the identity of a few rioters in the city. The violence had dragged Mumbai in to high alert as a precautionary measure.
A few sources have revealed that text messages, SMS and other such personal communication media were used to promote and circulate the details of the protest flaring it up. The state intelligence however had not taken any action. Opposition party had already talked to the Chief Minister and questioned him regarding the violence.

Vinod Tawde had reiterated his statement that Maharashtra Home Minister and Commissioner of Police should resign for their positions. He added that there were hate speeches being delivered in several parts of the violence. Speculations that there was political support have also sprung out. Crime Branch has a tough task ahead with the eight day deadline to complete its report.
