The former president Pratibha Patil is under scanner now as she carried over 150 expensive gifts, which she received when she was the President of India, to her hometown Amravathi. The gifts included a miniature of golden plated Amritsar Temple, which was gifted by the US President Barack Obama. According to the constitution, the President, once completes his/her tenure is not entitled to any rights or properties, which was given to him/her as a token/gift during the presidential tenure, said constitutional experts.

Meanwhile, Rashtrapati Bhavan has said that the gifts taken away by Pratibha Patil were given on loan and they wold taken back by the presidential estate at any point of time.
