An earthquake of a magnitude of 4.3 on Richter scale hit the areas of Nicobar Islands today, according to a statement released by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Delhi.
The tremors were felt around 3 am IST on Saturday and there are no immediate reports of loss of life or property.
The statement said that the epicenter of the quake was recorded at latitude of 9.7 degree north and longitude of 92.5 degree east.
