Union Textiles minister Dayanidhi Maran today issued legal notice to the management of the Tehelka magazine for publishing a story against him saying that he had favoured telecom licenses to certain companies in 2006 when he was the communication minister.
Maran described the story as a blatant and concocted lie and said it was full of false allegations and claims. “It is not investigative journalism but a story cooked in the name of investigative journalism,” he said in his notice.
When contacted, Tehelka said it has not yet received the notices from Dayanidhi Maran.
