APTA Completes A Decade: Set For Celebrations:- American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu heritage and formed in 2008 with the sole purpose of bringing together our Telugu community. APTA turned out to be a helping hand for several students who are in search for financial aid. Started with a single digit number, APTA now has 10,000 members. APTA has been contributing to the higher education of 1000 students across the Telugu states every year for whom money is a barrier. The organization has been spending Rs 1.5 crores on scholarships of these students per annum. Along with these, school bags have been distributed and free health camps are being conducted across the Telugu states. APTA Women section has been providing free sanitary napkins for girls. Several skill development programs are conducted across various schools.
On completing a decade, grand celebrations have been planned which will take place for three days between August 31st to September 2nd. The celebrations will take place in Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Washington and all the members of APTA along with their families will attend the grand celebrations.

Several politicians, businessmen and other celebrities from Telugu states are expected to grace the event. APTA Board Chairman Radhika Naigapula informed the happenings and reminded about the charity they have been doing through APTA from the past one decade. Gopal Gudapati, President of APTA revealed that this meet would turn out to be a platform to discuss about their future plans and to expand their work all over.
Vice-President Madhu Ulli, Convention Convenor Dheeraj Akula, Co-convenor Srinivas Chandu, Nataraj Illuri, Pathipathi Reddayya, Srinivas Siddineni, Lalitha Byra, Prasad Sammeta, Srinivas Chimata have contributed immensely for APTA in various ways.
