APTA 2018 Celebrations Held In A Grand Manner:- American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu heritage and formed in 2008 with the sole purpose of bringing together our Telugu community. APTA turned out to be a helping hand for several students who are in search for financial aid. Started with a single digit number, APTA now has 10,000 members. On the eve of completing a decade, grand celebrations took place between August 31st and September 2nd in Baltimore. Over 4000 people from all the corners of the globe attended the grand celebrations.
Gopal Gudapati, President of APTA along with Vice-President Madhu Ulli, Convention Convenor Dheeraj Akula, Co-convenor Srinivas Chandu, Lalitha Byra, Radhika, Nataraj Illuri, Pathipathi Reddayya, Srinivas Siddineni, Prasad Sammeta, Srinivas Chimata thanked everyone for attending the event and making it huge. Several cultural activities have been held and they impressed the viewers big time. On the occasion of SV Ranga Rao's centenary celebrations a silver coin has been released.
Veteran producer Allu Aravind has been felicitated with the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and John C Smith, Secretary of Maryland felicitated Allu Aravind. He then unveiled the statue of legendary actor SV Ranga Rao. Dasari Arun Kumar, R Swamy Naidu, Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu, Yarramsetti Sai, G Anand, Umesh Achanta have been honored through the event. Politicians like Pallam Raju, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Botsa Satyanarayana, C Ramachandrayya, Kadiri Babu Rao, P Vijay Babu, Mutyala Ratnam, Dilip Byra, Krishna Rao Muttamsetti attended the grand APTA celebrations. Young music sensation Devi Sri Prasad's musical night turned out to be the major attraction.
Srinivas Chandu, the founder member of APTA and the convention chair for the 10th anniversary has been lauded for his tremendous contribution for APTA.
