Suryakumar Yadav to lead India for T20 series against Australia:- India has announced their squad for the upcoming T20I series against Australia, and it features a new captain. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team in the five-match series, which starts on November 23 in Vizag. Hardik Pandya, who has been leading the team recently, is still recovering from an injury he suffered during the 2023 World Cup. This gives Suryakumar the opportunity to take on the captaincy role. It will be his first time leading an Indian team, although he did captain his IPL team earlier this year.

The squad also includes Rinku Singh, a young left-hander who made his international debut earlier this year, as well as Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who are returning to the team. Shreyas Iyer, who was part of the World Cup squad, will join the team after the third T20I and will serve as the vice-captain for the remaining matches. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the deputy captain for the first two T20Is.

India's inaugural T20I against Australia will take place on November 23rd at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The remaining four matches will then be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Nagpur, and Hyderabad on November 26th, 28th, December 1st, and 3rd respectively.

Indian Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad (vice-captain), Ishan Kishan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, Shreyas Iyer.
