Olympic medal winner, Vijender Singh is now accused of using heroin for recreational purposes along with fellow boxer Ram Singh. This comes at a time when the police are about to move to the court seeking permission for the collection of blood and hair samples from Vijendar. Ram Singh and Vijender were allegedly involved in the Zirakpur heroin haul worth Rs 130 Cr.

It was revealed by the police that the boxers Vijender and Ram Singh had taken heroin 12 and 5 times respectively. It was between December 2013 and February 2013 that the boxers consumed heroin after sourcing it from Anoop Singh and Rocky. Earlier Ram Singh alone sourced it in December but later both of them had to go to Zirakpur for the recreational heroin in January and twice in February. The case is being examined by the deputy district attorney at Fategarh Sahib before summoning the accused for sample collection.

None of them could be arrested now since there was no direct interaction between smugglers and also they did not have any suspicious material with them.  

It is to be noted that 26 Kgs of heroin was recovered from Zirakpur area after which Rocky and Anoop Singh were arrested.
