DRDO Lab Develops Sanitizer To Disinfect The Phones:- The DRDO Lab based in Hyderabad developed a sanitizer that is contactless which is a cabinet called Defence Research Ultraviolet Sanitizer (DRUVS) which is designed to sanitize the mobile phones, laptops, iPads, currency notes and others. The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) today told this in a statement. The sanitizer operates automatically and is contactless. The proximity sensor switches are clubbed with the drawer and they use the mechanism of opening and closing. This also provides exposure of 360 degrees of UVC.

The system goes into sleep mode once the sanitization is done. DRDO along with RCI developed this contactless sanitizer and named it DRUVS. It can also be used to sanitize the chequebooks, passbooks, envelopes and others. DRDO also developed an automatic UVC currency sanitizing device which is named as 'NOTESCLEAN' said the Ministry of Defence. The cabinet of these devices makes a contactless operation that is essential to prevent the spread of coronavirus. These devices will be available for usage very soon.
