Scientists in Scotland develop X-ray technology to detect Coronavirus:- A team of scientists in Scotland developed a new X-ray technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect Covid-19 within minutes. The RT-PCR test takes two hours for the detection of coronavirus and the new technology takes just minutes to trace out coronavirus. The scientists at the University of the West Scotland found out the technology and the accuracy is said to be 98 percent. Almost 3000 images belonging to patients of Covid-19 by comparing the scans to the database. Professor Naeem Ramzan, Director of the Affective and Human Computing for SMART Environments Research Centre at UWS and his team completed the research. Gabriel Okolo and Dr Stamos Katsigiannis are the other team members of Professor Naeem Ramzan.

A large number of tests are not carried because of the limited diagnosis tools and the X-ray technique can help everyone to conduct large number of tests and the results will be out in minutes. The coronavirus symptoms are not visible in the X-rays when the infection is in the early stages. The scientists say that the techniques can be used by any country and they are made to beat out the number of tests as the waiting time for the tests results is longer when the cases are high.
