Most people believe that eating fruits right after lunch or dinner is good for health. However, doctors are of the opinion that including fresh fruits in your daily diet is healthy. But fruits should not be consumed right after a meal. According to reports, it is best to eat fruits in between meals to derieve maximum nutrition from them.
Nutritionist say that fruits are digested faster than other food products. So if you consume fruits right after lunch or dinner they putrefy on combining with digestive juices of your body and cause indigestion and bloating.
Dr Madhurima Sinha, nutritionist at Care Hospitals, Hyderabad says that the ideal time to consume fruits is in between meals. That way fruits help you to stay full and avoid binge eating as well, Dr Sinha added.
