Dharavi Is A Global Role Model For Coronavirus Management:- Dharavi, the biggest slum in Asia emerged as the global role model which prevented the spread of coronavirus. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said this today against the backdrop of WHO's praise. World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also praised the recovery of Dharavi slums saying that it is an example for the world. With the cases increasing in Mumbai, Dharavi's cases came to all time low.
Uddhav Thackeray said that Dharavi showed the world that self-discipline can control coronavirus. Uddhav Thackeray said that 82% of the patients recovered from the coronavirus and the active cases in the slum now reached 166. He said that Dharavi is an inspiration to curb coronavirus. He also lauded the efforts kept by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), private doctors, NGOs along with the locals who kept their efforts to curb the virus.
