144 Section Imposed In Goa:- The Goan government imposed 144 Section of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) across the state so that all the public and large gatherings will be prevented in the state in the wake of coronavirus spread. Vishwajit Rane, the state's Health Minister met the press and informed the news saying that the 144 section is imposed from this morning. Except for the essential commodities, all the inter-state transports are banned. This would come into rule from this evening. All the passengers arriving from other states through private vehicles will be thoroughly screened.
Several cases are registered in Maharashtra, Karnataka which are the neighboring states of Goa. The government is now on alert with the number of cases rising high. All the private events, weddings and other gatherings are banned in Goa. The government also asked the tourists to stay away from the coastal state from the state. The Health officials are on alert as there are a number of foreign visitors during this season. Not a single coronavirus case has been registered till date in Goa. A show-cause notice has been issued to a private hospital that refused to admit a person who showed the symptoms of coronavirus.
