Two Dead And 30 Injured In A Stampede In Rajaji Hall:- The sudden demise of DMK Chief M Karunanidhi left the state in deep shock. His mortal remains have been placed in Rajaji Hall, Chennai during the early hours of today and lakhs of people rushed to the place to pay their last visit to the legendary leader and politician. Two people have lost their lives and 30 people have been injured in the stampede that took place at Rajaji Hall informed a source from DMK. Despite of cops mobbed in all over, they could not control the crowds which led to a stampede.
The final journey of M Karunanidhi will start today at 4 PMĀ said DMK official sources. The vehicle will reach Anna Square via Wallajah Road covering three kilometers. DMK issued a statement requesting all the party leaders and followers to maintain peace throughout the journey. Earlier Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi rushed to Chennai to pay his last visit to DMK Chief and paid tributes. Madras High Court ordered the government to allot the land in Marina Beach beside Karunanidhi's mentor CN Annadurai.
