Posters with the photograph of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani emerged in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, claiming that their Member of Parliament (MP) was ‘missing’. The posters were similar to those seen in Amethi and Bulandshahr last month, which had announced a reward for the ‘missing’ Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
The Advani posters bear the sign of theGandhinagar unit of the Aam Aadmi Party, though party officials have reportedly denied that their organisation had put them up. After winning the elections, Advaniji does not meet any of us residents. Everyone talks about development, but after the elections, no work gets done,” DB Vaghela, a resident said.
With Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi extending his leave of absence from politics, posters with the Gandhi scion’s photo emerged in his constituency, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, announcing a reward for their ‘missing ’ MP. ”The posters are put up in Amethi town, market, railways station and schools, but Rahul Gandhi has not been found anywhere” Hari Krishna Shukla, a resident of Amethi.
