BJP Sweeps Tripura And Nagaland: Congress Dominates Meghalaya:- The Assembly election results across Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland have been announced today and the leading Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept Tripura. By 5 PM, BJP won 34 seats and has been racing towards victory in 9 constituencies among the 60 member Assembly seats in the state. BJP along with its ally Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has won 14 seats in Nagaland and is leading in 13 more.

Things are different in Meghalaya as Congress showed an early lead from morning. Congress won 20 while NPP bagged 17 and others bagged 16 seats. BJP managed to get just two seats till evening. Narendra Modi took twitter to thank the people for keeping their faith in BJP in all the states the party ended victorious.
