‘Ringa Ringa’ movie heroine Vimala last night created a high drama in Visakhapatnam by visiting a police station and lodging a complaint against one Mr Prasant. Vimala, who also acted in two movies in Tamil, complained to police that Prasant had called her to a lodge in the name of story discussion with a director for a new movie but after going to the lodge he had drugged her.

Vimla said in her complaint he had tried to assault her sexually and cut off her hair forcibly. “He also asked me to marry him. In fact, he has been running after me with a marriage proposal for some time,” she complained to police.

Police said they have admitted her to a hospital for treatment as they found some injuries on her body. “She might be under the influence of alcohol,” police said. “We are verifying the details of her complaint and are on the look out for Mr Prasant.” Police said that they were also looking into the angle whether she was just trying to get some instant publicity for her new movie ‘Ringa Ringa’.
