She made her debut with ‘Evaraina vimala raman interviewEpudaina’ opposite Varun Sandesh. Shared screen with tough guy Jagapathi Babu in ‘Gaayam-2’. “I can never forget my introduction to this glamour world by great director Balachandar. As I said it is a glamour world, we must go with the trend” says this Aussie Vimala Raman. Her latest flick ‘Ranga The Donga’ with Srikanth also hit  this beauty shared her feelings…

How do you feel enacting a police officer’s role?
It is very funny. I used to watch movies based on police officers when I was studying. Its happy to see myself in a cop’s role onscreen. I’ll be seen as Mangamma in this movie. I am pretty impressed with the Godavari accent of my role and I just love it.

Probably you like action oriented cop movies, but this is a mass kind of commercial movie?
Don’t mistake it to a completely comic flick. There is action in this movie too. May be it is not similar to Hollywood cop stories, but it has our nativity and emotions.

ou said that you liked Godavari accent. Did you dub for yourself in this movie?
No I did not. Director GV asked me to dub for my role, but I rejected because I know Telugu, but not to the extent that i could pronounce the accent. So I thought it would be dangerous to experiment. Hmmm I am looking forward to dub for myself, I think I’ll do it soon.

You were seen in a seductive song in Gaayam-2…
Well whatever I did was purely demanded by the script. I just enacted a role of a wife and it is a common bond between any married couples. I opine that we did not cross our limits compared to other bold movies we are watching currently. Well, this is a glamour world.

You did not get a noticeable success in your filmy career till date…
I completely ignore this. It is enough for me if I like the story and my role. I seldom care about Box Office collections. I don’t think a movie fails only because of an actress. Everyone has their share for a movie’s success or failure.

Don’t you think it is tough to tolerate competition from your co-actresses?
Competition is always good. Everyone has got his or her own talent. So obviously there is bright future for the actors who are good in enacting all kinds of roles. That is the reason I am looking forward for only performance oriented roles.

What kind of roles you want to enact?
The one role I did in Kannada film ‘Aptaraksha has made one of my dreams come true.’ I am obsessed with Bharatanatyam so I got a chance to portray my passion on screen. And I want to do an action oriented role and a full length comic role.

Are you planning to step into Bollywood?
Yes of course. I want to be called as a national actress. I want to act in various languages. I have been getting offers in pipeline.

Did you ever imagine that you would be an actress?
No it happened instinctively. As I am a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, I always wanted to give dance shows around the world. It is my parents who wanted me to become an actress. They supported and encouraged me a lot.

How do you take care of your beauty?
I am complete vegetarian. I strictly follow my diet rules. I don’t eat rice. Green tea is the best thing I have to take care of my beauty. I carry green tea bags wherever I go. In fact my friends gift me green tea bags for me.
