Tension prevailed at Maddilapalem Visakhapatnam today when lawyers were stopped by the police when they were going to Maddilapalem in a rally to unveil the newly installed Telugu Thalli statue at Maddilapalem Center. There was physical struggle between the police and lawyers.

The lawyers later formed a human chain at Maddilapalem to protest against the behavior of the police.   The area was tense for some time. They shouted slogans supporting united Andhra Pradesh.
