Easy money has been the search by many. The unending search for dubious income only reminds of a saying by George Horace Lorimer `it's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.’ Students who are pursuing their education are supposed to be epitome of discipline and hard work, but these two were different. Two students from Hyderabad along with their accomplice got hold of a bunch of ATM cards and started withdrawing cash from them. Lured by the easy means the trio took to the habit, in the process almost robbed 500 ATM cards from the BC Welfare Corporation Office (BCW) and decamped Rs 4 Lakhs from various accounts, unnoticed.
The accused are Gadha Manikanta alias Bhasker (19), sales boy at Smart Kids, Puthlibowli; Allakonda Shiva Kumar alias Chintu alias Shiva (20), B.Tech-I student; and Toopu Sathya Shiva Kumar Goud alias Kanna (20), B.Sc-I, all residents of Jillelaguda in Ranga Reddy district. The last one in the list regularly visited BCW at Amberpet to verify his scholarship. On one such occasions Shiva got his hands on a cartoon full of SBI ATM cards with PINs. He stole the box and drew Rs 2,000 along with his associates. Encouraged by easy money, the trio repeated the process and eventually rented a house in Champapet for Rs 1,000 a month. On Friday while the Police were on a regular check up at Padmarao Nagar in Secunderabad, the unrest among them raised doubts of the cops. After interrogation the trio confessed the crime. Unknowingly the cops stumbled upon a massive case and the accused were arrested.(With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
