Indian coronavirus tally dips down Further

The coronavirus tally of the country is coming down on a regular basis. A total number of 27,409 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 82,817 people recovered from coronavirus in the last one day. There are 4,23,127 active cases and they are coming down on a faster note. The daily positivity rate is 2.23 percent which is quite low. 347 people passed away yesterday due to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the total death tally reached 5,09,358. The total cases of coronavirus in India are said to be 4,26,92,943 and the total recoveries climbed to 4,17,60,458. The total number of vaccination doses administered in India are 1,73,42,62,440.

The active caseload is 0.99 percent of the total reported cases in the country. The daily cases reported in the country on a daily basis remained low for the ninth consecutive day in India. Noted virologist Dr T Jacob John said that Covid will turn endemic four weeks after the cases come down. He said that there is a chance for the new variant that is highly transmissible to emerge. During the latest genome sequencing in Mumbai, 95 percent of the samples detected the Omicron variant. Hyderabad-based Biological E’s Corbevax is recommended for the age group of 12-18 by the subject expert panel. The formal approval has to be given by the Drug Regulator.
