86 Percent Of The Eligible Population Given First Dose Of Vaccine In India:- The second wave of coronavirus has calmed down mostly and close to less than 10000 cases are reported on a regular basis in India. The new variant of Omicron is now making waves across the globe and several countries witnessed a rise in the new cases. Some of the cases of Omicron variant are reported even in India and the government imposed strict rule for the passengers coming from abroad. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya revealed that 86 percent of the Indian eligible population is vaccinated with the first dose of coronavirus. He said that 7 crore vaccines are lying with the states.

He said that the research on the Omicron variant is currently on and we have to wait to see about the effectiveness of the vaccine against the variant. A total number of 23 cases of Omicron variant are reported in the country. The variant is now active in 59 nations of the globe. Two new cases are reported in Gujarat. Scientists across the globe have suggested the people to take the booster dose as the new variant has been making an impact. A total number of 8503 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and 624 people died yesterday.
