India on high alert amid Coronavirus Second Wave:- The wave of coronavirus cases in India came down after it reached an all-time high. Though experts warned of the second wave, the people are relaxed after all the restrictions are lifted. India is now on high alert after the new cases saw a considerable rise. Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka and Gujarat are the states that witness a huge rise in the number of cases. A total number of 46,951 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours which is a record number in the recent months. The total Indian tally of cases reached 1,16,46,081 and the total number of recoveries in the country reached 1,11,51,468.

The number of active cases of coronavirus reached 3,34,646 and the death toll stands at 1,59,967. The total number of people who received the vaccination in the country reached 4,50,65,998. The number of coronavirus cases in the Telugu states saw a considerable rise in the recent weeks. 337 new cases along with two deaths are reported in Telangana in the past 24 hours. As per the reports coming from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total number of samples tested in India till date are 23,44,45,774 and the samples tested in the last 24 hours are 8,80,655.
