Sasikala Shifted to ICU after Tested Positive for Coronavirus:- Former AIADMK Chief and close aide of J Jayalalitha, VK Sasikala was unwell after which she was shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru from the prison. Sasikala was expected to be released on January 27th from the Bengaluru prison and she was tested positive for coronavirus. She is shifted to the Intensive Care Unit in Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru after she was suffering with breathing issues and fever. The hospital authorities clarified that her health condition was stable. The repeated RT-PCR test for Sasikala reported negative on Wednesday and she was moved to Victoria Hospital.

Sasikala is on a ventilator and is suffering from lung infection as per the CT scan and the severity score is said to be 16/25. 10 litres of oxygen is given and her saturation level is said to be 98 percent. The doctors said that her health condition is closely monitored as she is a diabetic. They are suspecting that Sasikala is suffering with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The doctors revealed that Sasikala is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, urinary tract infection and hypothyroidism. A team of expert doctors are monitoring her health status and they confirmed that Sasikala is out of danger.
